LunchSkins Reusable Sandwich Bag in Red Apple
Whether you care about our environment, saving money, eating healthy, or looking stylish, LunchSkins are the answer to your plastic baggie blues!
They offer an environmental benefit (reduce landfill waste), a practical benefit (they can be used hundreds of times and save you money over the long run), and a healthy choice (food tastes better in a pastry bag).
Did You Know?
Hard as it may seem to believe, the familiar and frequently used zippered plastic baggie has not been improved in 40 years. Disposable plastic may have seemed like a great idea in 1964, but our standards have changed.
Today, we look for products that are healthy for us and healthy for our planet, particularly things we use on a daily basis like disposable plastic baggies. Although it looks like a little bag, reusable LunchSkins can make a big difference!
What makes LunchSkins food-safe?
LunchSkins had gone through a rigorous testing process by an independent lab. They have been certified as lead, Bisphenol-A (BPA) and phthalate-free.
The very thin layer of polyurethane has also been tested and found not to migrate into food or leave a “plastic” odor behind, thus meeting EU requirements for food contact.
Are LunchSkins just for food?
We don’t think so. LunchSkins are a great for many things because they offer the same convenience as a familiar plastic baggie, but are easily washable and durable for a range of uses.
The design is based on that of common zippered baggies, so a traditional pb&j sandwich fits perfectly within the 6 x 6 inch pouch; cookies, crackers and fruit fit nicely within the snack size; and the sub size will hold a stuffed hoagie.
They have so many practical and creative uses such as lipsticks, dog treats, wallet and keys, ice for boo-boos, pacifiers, baby toiletries, travel cosmetic case, and any other treats or loose messy items you may want to fashionably stash away.
Will my kids bring them home?
Yes, but take a few steps to help them. First, personalize your LunchSkins with a permanent marker on the nameplate. Remind the little ones that Lunchskins are not trash, only their leftovers are.
Because of its environment-friendly characteristics and fun designs, LunchSkins had found its way onto the pages of noteworthy magazines such as Oprah Winfrey's "O" Magazine, as well as weblogs from leading reviewers line the Daily Candy, Cool Mom Picks, and Health.com
